my zombie bookmark

was posted in an Etsy user’s treasury. Since they expire after a couple of days, here is a screen cap of the treasury. Mine is in the top right corner.

Little Hokie

Little Hokie, originally uploaded by Joined at the Stitch.

A co-worker commissioned my version of the Virginia Tech Hokie.

I used crochet for the main body piece and then needle felted with New Zealand Corriedale wool from Joggles.com.

I tried a new technique of using polyfil for a base in the head. I was afraid that the roving wouldn’t bind around it but it worked like a charm which saved me time and wool in the process.

Christiana

She made a great face and it had to be immortalized.

more art for MC Frontalot

He wrote me on Saturday asking for an old school robot for a new flyer. I was finishing my newest zombie hand and wasn’t sure if I could get to it. Not to mention, if you haven’t noticed…I don’t really draw too many inorganic objects.

I did some sketches and cleaned up his favorite in Illustrator CS3 and below is my original and his flyer treatment.
